loop from 795 down to 95. and the inner loop will be clear up through pikesville. no delays on the east side. looking at an 11-minute ride on the outer loop from 95 all the way up to 83. and we have a crash on the northbound shoulder of 95. right at the ramp that's going to be to dundalk avenue but no delays in the area southbound lanes going to be clear. four minutes from route 43 down to the beltway and it will be clear as you make the push down towards the fort mchenry tunnel. that's your abc2 timesaver traffic. now over to you. a few minutes after 6:30. no doubt this is one of the toughest flu outbreaks in recent memory. it's so bad that it's forced a school district in oklahoma to shut down. nearly a quarter of the kids have fallen ill and the district will do a professional cleaning disinfecting lockers and water fountains and desks. official hope to give the kids the weekend time to recover and keeping them away from each other to maybe lessen the spread of the virus. parents of the sick kids are

investigators. >> sherrie johnson is live innorth baltimore and the move a hold them accountable took a huge step forward. >> reporter: that's right. we are at northern parkway and york road. that is busy intersection. a lot of cars and buses travel through here. and one thing they have here is red light cameras as you can see right here. there is a new push to hold school bus drivers accountable for running red lights. last year abc2 investigators showed the red light camera system caught school buses running red lights. this prompted the baltimore city council to step in. school system operates its buses but employs several contractors and those companies are not required to report violations the drivers get to the school system. baltimore city councilwoman mary pat clarke introduced a bill to requiring citations given to school bus to be submitted to the mayor, council members and the department of education four times a year.

it passed through a committee last night. some of the contractors at this meeting say it's hard to keep track of drivers in a bus when a citation was issued. >> who is in a yellow cool bus? the littlest elementary school children our special needs children, the most vulnerable children in our whole city. >> i drive buses and i drive myself and you can see them flying by like they are driving a race car. it's a major problem in baltimore city. >> reporter: the bill now moves ahead to a vote on full city council which should happen within the next few weeks. reporting live in north baltimore, sherrie johnson, abc2 news. denver may be 1700 miles away from baltimore but you will see lot of purple in the stadium. tomorrow abc2 news jamie costello will be reporting live tonight and tomorrow from the mile high city and found a fewfans who are pumped up for the game. >> reporter: good morning. rain fans from baltimore have

today and later this afternoon, the baltimore ravens will arrive. here in denver, jamie costello, good morning maryland. >> a local art teacher is using love of painting and the ravens to benefit her students. laura teaches at harve degreat midstel school and to raise money for the art -- havre de grace middle school and to raise money for the art program she paints pictures of the ravens players and she gets them signed and auctioned off and it the money goes back to the schools. >> if i have the supplies i need it maximum my job better. we love ravens and ray lewis and it was a great job and we wanted to support the art department at havre de grace middle. >> she raised 1200 dollars so far for desks and art supplies for the program. drug dealers will use some of the most unique ways to protect their products and case in point check out what police found at a home in california. this gator known as mr. teeth was in a plexiglas tank, 34

flu activity and emergency rooms are swamped. schools are closed and dozens of people died from the virus. president obama is meeting with afghan president karzai today. it's going to happen at the white house. they are going to discuss u.s. troop presence in afghanistan after 2014. there were talks of leaving a few thousand soldiers there but the white house is considering pulling all of them out. we enjoy temperatures in the 60s this weekend, other parts of the country are feeling the rathe of mother nature. winter weather advisory in the mornings are mosted from california to michigan and the arctic blast dumped snow on southern california shutting down busy interstates and it's going to be a chilly weekend for people in louisiana who are cleaning up after a tornado. and a rash severe weather hit there. more rain is expected throughout the gulf region so it's a mixed bag mike when you look across the country with weather. >> and now maryland's most accurate forecast. >> yeah. here we go. that close to home beautiful
